I am a 37 year-old single-mother of one daughter, Madyson. I am a professional grant writer and business consultant and spend a lot of time volunteering for local charities and organizations. My biggest passion is being a mom, it is the most important thing that I can do with my life. I am driven to help others and believe that anyone can rise from adversity to greatness.

Madyson is my biggest supporter and inspiration. She has encouraged me to tell my story and I do this in honor of her. I didn't know which platform to use to tell my story and then I became inspired to write this blog after several conversations with a friend who produces her own blog. Missing Jim is about the journey of a family wherein the father (Jim) has Younger Onset Alzheimer's Disease. Reading her blog and knowing how much it has helped others really moved me to make my own mark. I believe this is a great platform for helping others as well as purging the past and preparing for the future. I am grateful to her for the inspiration. I have an enormous amount of gratitude for the person I first opened up to about sharing my past and telling my story. He is one of my biggest cheerleaders and supporters and has repeatedly been there for me despite life's challenges. For that and so much more, I am eternally grateful. LMLBD :-)

Throughout my spiritual and life journey I have been faced with many challenges and have learned a great deal. It is my hope that by telling my story, I might inspire others to know and trust God and his promises. I also write to express feelings and to grieve for the losses I have endured. But mostly, I hope to convey a message that someone, maybe you, can relate to and be motivated by.
